1 Peter 3:18 (NASB) ‘For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit; ‘
As I enter into Good Friday, just like all of you, my thoughts are on Calvary. This is the day that we formally recognize the ultimate act of love and sacrifice, our Lord and Savior fulfilled on the cross. Jesus Christ willing went bearing the sins of the world, in order that we, the sinful, could be reconciled to God. He carried out this act, out of immeasurable love for all of mankind. All of mankind. What humbles and breaks me is the knowledge, that if I were the only person in existence, the one and only man, His love would have taken Him to the cross all the same. He would have done the same if it were just any one of you, as well. Go out into the world and live with that knowledge on your heart, not only today, but every single day forward. Have a blessed weekend.
