Ephesians 2:10 New International Version (NIV)
10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Have you had the thought, “I am a nobody.” The enemy can hit us with that thought and wants you to feel defeated, discouraged, and living a life without purpose.
The Bible says in Exodus 4:10, “O Lord, I am not good with words. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.” Moses had stage fright. He thought he was a nobody, bu God was there to rescue him and his people.
Look at King David in 1 Samuel 17:49, “Reaching into his shepherd’s bag and taking out a stone, he hurled it with his sling and hit the Philistine in the forehead.” David brought stones to a sword fight. A nobody tending sheep became a somebody as he looked to the Lord for his strength.
Then, how about the twelve outsiders that nobody would have chosen. Check out Matthew 28:18 where Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have given you authority in heaven and earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations.” These outsiders, the nobodies, changed the world.
The devil always wants to remind you of where you came from, but Jesus tells us where we are going. Jesus still saves. Our names will be forgotten here on earth, but Jesus never will forget our names. You belong to him. Jesus is the True Somebody who loves us nobodies, but he makes us a somebody through Him.
Live a faithful life in the name of Jesus.
