Ezekiel 22:30New Living Translation (NLT)

30 “I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land. I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one.

The Lord calls Ezekiel, ‘son of man’, many times in his book. It means, ‘human being’. We are no more than mere mortals in the eyes of God. It was a way that God called attention to Ezekiel to listen because of the importance.

God was wanting to to build the wall of righteousness for the Jewish nation, but they continued to prostitute themselves to other gods, idols, and worldly pleasures. God was looking for one man to stand in the gap of the wall.

We still have gaps in the walls needing to be filled by righteous men. It is like a code of conduct in relating to others. Obviously, perfect righteousness is unattainable, but with the Holy Spirit, He can make us righteous men.

It is in following Christ and what he did on the cross makes us righteous. We get an opportunity to go deeper in righteousness, stand in the gap as we join together across the region in Pella, Knoxville, Oskaloosa, Newton, New Sharon, and Ottumwa. We all come together for our Vital Mens kickoff September 14, 6:30-8:30. We meet at Pella Christian High School to listen to our guest speaker, Chuck Holton. This will be a night to remember. Do not miss the moment.

Strength and Courage

Michael
