2 Chronicles 32:7 New International Version (NIV)
7 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him.
You will see the words, ‘Be Strong and Courageous’, multiple times in the Bible. We see these words being used by King Hezekiah as he spoke them to the people. Judah spoke them as the Assyrian Army was about to attack the city of Jerusalem. The people rested upon his words that God had given him.
We see from the examples given in God’s Word that he was there for the people of Israel, whether it be a battle, beginning a new adventure, or entering a field of service for God. He was always encouraging them to be strong and courageous for his power is always greater no matter with is being faced.
We, today, face challenges before us knowing that God is with us and that he fights for us. He gives us strength and courage. He is with us in our challenges and struggles in life. We have a power that is far greater on our side.
We have a great measure of strength and courage because we have Christ in us, and we have hope in his glory. Be strong and very courageous as we observe today for what God has for us. Whatever you have in front of you, we have a power far greater to succeed in victory!
Strength and Courage
