Genesis 41:39-40 New International Version (NIV)
39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you. 40 You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.”
Joseph rose quickly to the top. He went from prison walls to the Pharoah’s palace. The entire time he was in prison, his training for this important position prepared him. He was first a slave. Then, he was a prisoner. In each situation he kept God at the center of his life, and he practiced the importance of serving God, as well as, serving others. Remember, no matter what your situation may be, and no matter how undesirable things may be; look at this with God’s heart for you in mind. Life is a training program for serving God. When you look for ways to honor Him, give Him the glory, and serve Him and those around you; blessings will abound for you.
