Numbers 15:30-31 New International Version (NIV)
30 “‘But anyone who sins defiantly, whether native-born or foreigner, blasphemes the Lord and must be cut off from the people of Israel. 31 Because they have despised the Lord’s word and broken his commands, they must surely be cut off; their guilt remains on them.’”
God was willing to forgive those who made unintentional errors. It was important to realize the mistake early and quickly. Instant and deliberate sin receives a harsher punishment. When we have intentional sin, this is a growth of an improper attitude toward God. If we knowingly disobey and challenge authority, this is disrespect. If you have intentional sin in your life, begin the process of getting rid of it. Ask God for help, change your attitude, and work to change your actions. You can do this, and you will feel better and more free and alive.
