64 Not one of them was among those counted by Moses and Aaron the priest when they counted the Israelites in the Desert of Sinai.
This was a new census for the new generation. During the 38 years every man and woman over the age of 20 passed except Caleb, Joshua, and Moses. God’s laws and the spiritual character of the nation were still thriving. There were dramatic miracles, but there were also quiet and powerful miracles. The miracle of a nation moving from one land to another, losing an entire adult population, yet maintaining spiritual direction was a quiet and powerful miracle. Do you feel like God is not working in your life because you do not see dramatic miracles? Remember, God often works in quiet yet powerful ways in order for his long-range purposes to be accomplishes.
