‘Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.’ 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Eternity… That is where are focus is to be according to this passage in 2 Corinthians. This is a very important mindset to hold, embrace and live out. “Our lives are but a vapor”. There is nothing we can do to slow the progression of time. What we can do is control our perception, attitude and purpose. Although our bodies age a little every day, we can focus on strengthening our spiritual self by our ceaseless pursuit in Jesus. Desire to have Him work in us what He would have and be a better version of ourselves today than we were yesterday. Have a blessed weekend.
