The church in the United States has entered into a perilous age. We are surrounded by an increasingly confused and depraved society. As a whole, the American church is wavering, tempted and swayed with the feelings and flavor of the day. This is made possible by apathy and complacency. Generally speaking, the body of believers found in this nation are falling victim because there is a lack of desire. So many lack the desire to pursue Jesus daily, to study and internalize His word and to constantly test what the hear, see, think and feel against His word. Satan has painted an enormous target on our backs. His hatred of us is second only to His hatred of God. Our light is being extinguished and we’re not doing what’s needed to war against the darkness. Ask yourself, do I fall into that category? If you answer yes, what are you prepared to do about it? What are you prepared to commit to? Will you allow your light to be extinguished, God’s purpose for your life unfulfilled, your contribution rendered mute? Or, will you commit to meeting with God daily, seeking His guidance, cultivate the ultimate of relationships and seek first the kingdom of God? Eyes, ears and hearts wide open.
