Righteous Justice

²¹ Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord,
    and abhor those who are in rebellion against you?
²² I have nothing but hatred for them;
    I count them my enemies.
²³ Search me, God, and know my heart;
    test me and know my anxious thoughts.
²⁴ See if there is any offensive way in me,
    and lead me in the way everlasting.

David wanted righteous justice. When you love God, you are deeply hurt when someone hates God. Pray for God’s enemies, and pray they will turn to Him before He judges them. David wanted God to search his heart. Then, God can show him his sin, so he could repent and be forgiven, You can repent and be forgiven when you ask God to search your heart and reveal your sin. Then, you can stand in the light of day and be free.
