Understanding

⁵ Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
⁶ in all your ways submit to him,
    and he will make your paths straight.

You will never understand everything about this world. You will never understand God’s plans. You will never figure out how and when God works things out. Do not depend on what man says. Only God knows his plans. Only God knows the future. Only God knows His timing for everything He does. So what do you do? You submit to God. You honor and respect God. You believe in God. You trust God at His Word. You learn God’s Word and follow the example that Jesus gave us, as He is God in human form. Know that God loves you, and when you keep your eyes on Him, He will guide you through anything.
