Faith over fear. As we step into biblical truth, these three simple words can guide us.
There is a quote by an unknown author, “Fear knocked at the door; faith answered and lo, there was nothing there.”
Can we muster up even a speck of faith to answer that door; to pray to God; to trust God’s plan?
Matthew 17:20 (NIV): “He replied, ‘Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
We know this truth from Matthew 17, but do we truly, consistently live into this?
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, that You will fight for us. Help us to be still and trust that You truly are the one and only God. Today, we will take heed, be quiet and fear not. When we hear the knock at the door, we will let our faith answer it. Fear will not get a foothold in our hearts or homes. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
