21 Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife, because she was childless. The Lord answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became pregnant.
Isaac pleaded with God for children. The Bible encourages us to ask and even plead for our most personal and important requests. God may withhold his answer for awhile. God uses our interaction with him to deepen our insight and develop our character. Waiting will deepen your appreciation for God’s answers. It allows us to mature. God knows what is best. When you grow in character and maturity, you will use God’s gifts more wisely.
