James 1:5-7New Living Translation (NLT)

⁵ If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. ⁶ But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. ⁷ Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.

Dear Father, I am to ask you for all things. If I need wisdom, I am to ask. You are generous. You will give me wisdom. You will not rebuke me when I ask for wisdom. I am to make sure my faith is in you alone, Father. I am not to waver. May I never have divided loyalty. May I never be unsettled. When I am standing firm in my faith, I can expect to receive when I ask. Thank you. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
