Exodus 23:4-5 New International Version (NIV)
4 “If you come across your enemy’s ox or donkey wandering off, be sure to return it. 5 If you see the donkey of someone who hates you fallen down under its load, do not leave it there; be sure you help them with it.
Being kind to enemies was a new concept where revenge was the norm. God introduced this idea. He made it a law for the Israelites to follow. Jesus taught us to reach out to all people in need. Apply God’s laws of fairness and kindness to enemies and show how different you are from the world.
