Genesis 32:26 New International Version (NIV)
26 Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.”
But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”
Jacob wrestled all night to be blessed. He was persistent. He would not give up. He would not let go. God encourages persistence. He wants you to grow in your persistence in all areas of your life. He wants you to grow in your spiritual life. Ask yourself where you need more persistence in your spiritual life. When you go through struggles and tough conditions, you will develop character through persistence in your spiritual life. Be persistent with God. Do not give up on God, and do not let go of Him.
