Proverbs 20:3-7New International Version (NIV)
3 It is to one’s honor to avoid strife,
but every fool is quick to quarrel.
4 Sluggards do not plow in season;
so at harvest time they look but find nothing.
5 The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters,
but one who has insight draws them out.
6 Many claim to have unfailing love,
but a faithful person who can find?
7 The righteous lead blameless lives;
blessed are their children after them.
Dear Lord, I am to be honorable and keep out of arguments. I am to be patient and slow to react. I am to work with my hands and be productive. I am to have a pure heart and have pure thinking. I am to be faithful and honoring. I am to live righteously and guard my actions and words, for I want to speak and act in ways that honor Jesus. May I work continually to live blameless and righteous for that is honoring and pleasing to you, Lord. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
