12 But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread; so the Egyptians came to dread the Israelites
The Egyptians tried to wear down the Hebrew people by forcing them into slavery and mistreating them. The opposite happened. The Hebrew people multiplied and grew stronger. There will be times you are burdened and mistreated. There will be times you feel defeated. Burdens can make you stronger, and they can develop qualities in you that can prepare you for the future. You cannot develop into and overcomer without going through troubled times. Be true to God in the hard times because even the worst situations can make you better.
