Warning against Judging Others

¹¹ Don’t speak evil against each other, dear brothers and sisters. If you criticize and judge each other, then you are criticizing and judging God’s law. But your job is to obey the law, not to judge whether it applies to you. ¹² God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge. He alone has the power to save or to destroy. So what right do you have to judge your neighbor?

Dear Father, I will not participate in gossip. I will not speak evil against others. I will not criticize. I will not judge. May I hold to these desires, and if I do sin, help me to recognize it immediately and change my behavior. May I obey the law. God gave the law. God is the Judge. My Lord has the power to save or to destroy. May I do what is right. May I always stay away from judging others for that is pleasing to my Lord. Thank you. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
