Perhaps you’ve heard of Louie Giglio’s book … Don’t Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table. I’m working thru this book right now with my co-workers and it is GRABBING my attention on how we too often subtly and easily allow Satan to hang around in our thoughts. Too often we do NOT take the lead to push him out of our minds. Too often we are too passive and allow his deception to spin us out of control.
Psalm 23:5 NIV You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Giglio ties Psalm 23 into the theme of his book. God desires to dine with us, to hang out with us, to spend time with us and get to fully know us. Are we valuing God’s time and His attention? Or are we minimizing his role and even allowing Satan to sneak up to the table of our relationships?
If you engage devotionals with the Bible app, check out Louie Giglio’s 6 day devo based on the book. Great, thought-provoking & action-inducing content.
Men – we have to take charge of our thoughts. If we don’t, Satan will roll us over! Let’s remain alert. Aware. Grounded in God and His Word.
