Exodus 33:11 New International Version (NIV)
11 The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent.
God and Moses talked face to face in the Tent of Meeting. They were friends. They spoke with each other in friendship. God chose Moses. Moses was not perfect. He was not gifted. He was not powerful. Moses relied wholeheartedly on God’s wisdom and direction. Friendship with God was a privilege to him. Today, we have that same privilege. Jesus calls us friend. Have you accepted Jesus’ invitation to openly communicate with him as a friend? Jesus wants that kind of relationship with you.
