By placing God first in your life, you realize that your recovery is not dependent on material things. It is built on your desire to follow Jesus Christ’s direction.
I – I becomes we
Recovery is not meant to be done alone!
V – Victories shared
God never wastes a hurt!
E – Example of your actions
We are the instruments for delivering the Good News. The way we live will confirm to others the sincerity of our commitment to our Lord.
Application:
The G in this acrostic says it all. Our recovery and our life should be built on our love for Jesus Christ. Showing our true love for Jesus Christ is accomplished through us following his word and his ways. But in our recovery, sometimes we don’t know exactly what that looks like. I truly believe that following Christ in our recovery is using our testimony to witness to others. Our testimony is not just the story of what we went through, but it is the story of what God brought us through. I believe witnessing in this way is one of the greatest ways to follow and honor God. So take that leap of faith, be brave, and share how God showed up in your life and helped break your chains of bondage and sin. Let’s go men!! JEEEESSSSUUUSSS!!!!💪💪
