14 Whoever is pregnant with evil
conceives trouble and gives birth to disillusionment.
15 Whoever digs a hole and scoops it out
falls into the pit they have made.
16 The trouble they cause recoils on them;
their violence comes down on their own heads.
When evil is allowed to run its course, it will destroy itself. Violent people become victims of violence. Liars become victims of another’s deceit. There will be times when God will intervene and stop evil to protect his followers. There may be times when God allows evil to run its course even when innocent people are hurt. No matter what, ask God to protect you. Ask him to protect you from evil. As a believer in Jesus Christ, we can ask for protection from evil. You are in God’s family as a believer in Jesus Christ. God will execute final justice on evil whether in your life time or after. Always remember God’s will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
