Exodus 2:23-25 New International Version (NIV)
23 During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God. 24 God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. 25 So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.
God’s rescue does not always come the moment you may want it. God had promised to bring the Hebrews out of Egypt, and they had waited a very long time for that promise to be kept. God rescued them when he knew the right time had come. God knows the best time to act, so the next time you feel God has forgotten you in your troubles, remember that God has a time schedule that you are unable to comprehend.
