16 So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. 17 Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. 18 He chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.
Listening and Doing
19 Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. 20 Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.
Dear Father, May I never be misled. I know that any good and perfect gift is from you, Father. You created all the lights in the heavens. You never change. You never cast a shifting shadow. Thank you for giving us your true word. Thank you that I am your prized possession. May I work to be quick to listen to you, Lord. May I be slow to speak and slow to anger with my fellow man. I want to be in the righteousness that you desire, Lord. May the Lord bless me and keep me. Thank you. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
