Isaiah 6:1-3 “…To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion–to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit– that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified…”
There are times in our lives when we go through grief – whether through the loss of a loved one or a major trauma, or through disappointments and rejections. Whatever it may be that has brought grief into our lives, we can be assured that God will bring us comfort. He can turn our mourning into praise and give us the garment of praise for our spirit of heaviness. In our time of grief – God is there with us. He feels the sadness we feel and fully understands. He won’t leave us to go through it on our own.
If you are going through a time of grief at the moment, you know you can share it with the Lord. He is there for you and He loves you so much. Your Heavenly Father holds you when you weep.
