7 Arise, Lord!
Deliver me, my God!
Strike all my enemies on the jaw;
break the teeth of the wicked.
8 From the Lord comes deliverance.
May your blessing be on your people.
David called to God for justice against his persecutors. David had been insulted, and he wanted equal treatment for his enemies. David wanted justice not personal revenge. David had humility. He was trusting God’s timing to answer his question about how unfair success was achieved, and there was no justice. There will be times in life when people get the advantage by lying, stealing, or cheating. They think they will never be found out for this ill gotten gain, but that is not the case. Truth always finds a way to the surface. Have faith in God’s timing to bring out the truth. Ask God to bring out the truth and seek God’s justice.
