Lesson:
The last couple of weeks, we admitted we were powerless. Today, we are going to talk about how to find HOPE.
H: Higher Power
Jesus Christ is our Higher Power! He desires a relationship with us.
O: Openness To Change
Throughout our lives, we will continue to encounter hurts and trials that we are powerless to change. With God’s help, we need to be open to allow those trials to make us better, not bitter.
P: Power To Change
God’s power can change us and our situation.
E: Expect To Change
Don’t quit before the miracle happens! With God’s help, the changes that you have longed for are just steps away.
Life Application:
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 When we receive the Holy Spirit, we are given the fruits of the Spirit. These fruits give us the hope and endurance to overcome the attacks of the enemy.
Jesus Christ has already won the victory. All we have to do is walk in faith alongside him, and no weapons formed against us shall stand. Isaiah 54:17
