This is the kick-off week for Vital Men in South Central Iowa. We will be at The Well in Pella, and it begins at 6:00 P.M. on 9/11. Yes, there will be Man Food, the Bridge Band, and our kick-off speaker, Marty Schmidt.
We will be looking and studying the lives of two old prophets in the Old Testament: Elijah and Elisha. These were two gifted men who led by following God. This is a contrast to what our culture says today about leading.
We will see how God opposes one of Israel’s wicked kings. Prayer will stop rain for 3 1/2 years. There will be a face off with the prophets of Baal. We will see fire from the sky. God’s voice will be heard in a small whisper.
We will see just how ordinary each was as a man, yet each had great power in prayer because each believed and walked righteously with the Lord. Each was a man of great moral fiber which lead to doing and seeing amazing works for our God!
