4 Tremble and do not sin;
    when you are on your beds,
    search your hearts and be silent.
5 Offer the sacrifices of the righteous
    and trust in the Lord.

You attitude of submission and obedience is key in true worship of God. He wants your obedience, sacrifice, and heartfelt praise. When you have this, you will have inward joy that comes from knowing and trusting God. Happiness comes as a result of pleasant circumstances. Inward joy comes from a steady relationship with God. An inward joy defeats discouragement. Happiness is temporary. Joy is lasting. Seek joy in the Lord.
