Exodus 19:2-3 New International Version (NIV)
2 After they set out from Rephidim, they entered the Desert of Sinai, and Israel camped there in the desert in front of the mountain.
3 Then Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain and said, “This is what you are to say to the descendants of Jacob and what you are to tell the people of Israel:
Mount Sinai is one of the most sacred locations in Israel’s history. This is where Moses met God in a burning bush. This is where a covenant was made with Israel. This is where Elijah heard God in a gentle whisper. This is where God gave his people the laws and guidelines for right living. Through all this we can learn the potential blessings that come from obedience.
