Exodus 6:10-12 New International Version (NIV)
10 Then the Lord said to Moses, 11 “Go, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the Israelites go out of his country.”
12 But Moses said to the Lord, “If the Israelites will not listen to me, why would Pharaoh listen to me, since I speak with faltering lips?”
It was very difficult for Moses to bring God’s message to Pharaoh. But is was even more difficult when his very own people did not believe his message. Before the Hebrews finally did believe Moses and the message, Moses must have felt very alone and maybe even doubtful. The main attribute was that Moses obeyed. That made all the difference. Are you in a situation where the chances of success seem very slim? Do you feel alone? Are you doubtful? It is easy to obey when a task is easy and you have support, but can you obey when the task seems impossible, you are doubtful, and you feel alone? Persist in your faith and obey when the task seems impossible. You are never alone, and God will erase your doubt.
