Pray for Peace

⁶ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
    “May those who love you be secure.
⁷ May there be peace within your walls
    and security within your citadels.”
⁸ For the sake of my family and friends,
    I will say, “Peace be within you.”
⁹ For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
    I will seek your prosperity.

Pray for peace for your family and friends. This is intercessory prayer on behalf of others. Pray for health, justice, prosperity, and protection. The world will never provide this peace. Real peace comes from faith in God because He alone embodies all the characteristics of peace. To find peace in the mind and with others, you must first find peace with God.
