Exodus 20:7 New International Version (NIV)

7 “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.

A name is special. God’s name is special because it carries his identity. Do not use it in a wrong manner. How you use God’s name is how you feel about him. Respect his name and use it appropriately. Speak it in praise or worship. Do not take it lightly when his name is used in a dishonoring way.
