² By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. ³ Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

We live in a very chaotic and hectic culture and world. There is always something to do and keep us busy. God demonstrates that rest is good for us. It is appropriate and right to rest. God rested from his work. We also need rest from our work. Jesus also demonstrated that rest was good. He and his disciples would get away from the crowds to a quiet place to rest and get refreshed. Make sure you take time to rest so that you are fresh for times of service.
