Jesus Clears the Temple
13 It was nearly time for the Jewish Passover celebration, so Jesus went to Jerusalem. 14 In the Temple area he saw merchants selling cattle, sheep, and doves for sacrifices; he also saw dealers at tables exchanging foreign money.15 Jesus made a whip from some ropes and chased them all out of the Temple. He drove out the sheep and cattle, scattered the money changers’ coins over the floor, and turned over their tables.
Dear Father, You know the right time to reveal yourself. You know the right time to answer prayer. You know when to say yes to prayer requests and when to say no to prayer requests. You are just. You are righteous. You are sovereign. When there is sin and evil behavior, this brings righteous anger. You are holy. I ask forgiveness for my wrong behavior and choices. Thank you that you forgive me. I can stand clean. I can walk in your light and be free. When I repent and change my ways, I can stand boldly before you, Lord. I belong to you, Lord. Thank you. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
