¹⁵ And I will put enmity
    between you and the woman,
    and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head,
    and you will strike his heel.”

Satan is the enemy. Remember, he will do anything he can to get anyone to follow his evil and deadly path. The phrase, ‘you will strike his heel’ tells us that Satan would repeatedly try to defeat Jesus during his time on earth. Then, the phrase, ‘he will strike your head’, nicely tells us that Satan was defeated when Jesus rose from the dead. A strike on the heal is not deadly, but a strike on the head is deadly. God reveals his plan in his Word that he has in fact defeated Satan. Salvation is offered to the world through his Son, Jesus. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Only through Jesus, can we have eternal life and a place with God’s family.
