Buried in the Promised Land
29 After these things, Joshua son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died at the age of a hundred and ten. 30 And they buried him in the land of his inheritance, at Timnath Serah in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash.
31 Israel served the Lord throughout the lifetime of Joshua and of the elders who outlived him and who had experienced everything the Lord had done for Israel.
Joshua had spiritual obedience through his life. He had been handed the great task of leading a nation. Joshua followed God closely. He led the people through military victories. Through his spiritual obedience the people were sure they would never forsake the Lord. This is a tribute to God whom Joshua faithfully served. What kind of tribute would you like to inspire in the people around you? You can be like Joshua and have spiritual obedience. Joshua always worked to put God first in his decisions. There were times he learned some hard lessons, but he always saw his mistakes, repented, and grew closer to God. Practice spiritual obedience in your life and live the blessings of leading this type of life with God.
