Are we allowed to test God? Well, actually, right there in the Bible we see that there is one way that we absolutely are.
God Himself tells us that we should test him: “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it” (Malachi 3:10).
God is teaching us that if we are careful to tithe, He will bless us with wealth. As God Himself said, “Test me in this.” When you give, you also receive. Giving is also a heart issue. What is the Holy Spirit and your heart telling you to do with your earnings? How can you help others? Take time to visit with God about this, and see how your life may change for the best.
