- We’re seeing the long game of Roman Centurion Gaius developing his faith and becoming a Jesus follower. The narrative of Gaius began when he supervised Matthew in his tax collector role; the narrative continues as Gaius observes Jesus and the disciples and becomes intrigued and curious about Jesus.
- Jesus engages with Little James about his physical impairment and the reality that James is not healed even though Jesus could heal him.
- The highlight of this episode is Jesus sending out the disciples two by two to proclaim the gospel message.
