1 Timothy 6:9-10 “…But those who crave to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish (useless, godless) and hurtful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction and miserable perishing. For the love of money is a root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have been led astray and have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves through with many acute [mental] pangs…”
It’s just not worth it!
Why crave for something we’re not able to take with us when we die. After all, it only has worldly value. Money in itself is not evil, but rather the attitude toward it is. The ‘love’ of money is the ‘root of all evil. God sees the motives of the heart. The desire to be rich with worldly riches snuffs out any potential that we have in being used of God – because we cannot be fully focused on God.
We cannot serve both God and money!
I will not allow money to master me. I can’t take it with me into eternity.
