1 Timothy 4:10 New International Version (NIV)
10 That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.
The three F’s in live that are most important are Faith, Family, and Friends. I get the opportunity to visit people who are ‘shut ins’. These people cannot get out anymore because of various physical conditions.
When you go and visit with these folds, they like to talk about their faith, family, and friends, so let’s get a brief glimpse of what is important.
Faith – Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Our faith is founded in Christ alone. We believe he is our Savior and Lord. He is the Author and Finisher of our faith.” Faith is found in Christ. Put the Lord first in your life.
Family – Proverbs 22:6 says, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will not turn from it.” Family is important. How do we treat them? Are we loving and respectful? Do we forgive? It is important that our relationship with them reflect the love of Christ.
Friends – Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says, “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.” Having friends are those who are there in the thick and thin if life. We help each other up, and we walk with each other in the journey.
