30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses and said, “We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it.”
31 But the men who had gone up with him said, “We can’t attack those people; they are stronger than we are.” 32 And they spread among the Israelites a bad report about the land they had explored. They said, “The land we explored devours those living in it. All the people we saw there are of great size.
Have you ever voiced an unpopular opinion in a crowd voicing a different opinion? Caleb was willing to take the unpopular stand to do as God had commanded. If you go against the crowd, it is important you have the facts. Caleb had seen the Promised Land for himself. You need to have the right attitude. Caleb trusted God’s promise to give Israel the land. Finally, you need to be able to state clearly what you believe. Caleb stated that they could conquer the land.
