Exodus 17:9 New International Version (NIV)
9 Moses said to Joshua, “Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.”
Joshua would become a great leader who would bring God’s people into the Promised Land. He was a general in the Israelite army. Through this he would gain valuable experience for greater battles to come. As you are living life, you are gaining valuable experience. Always be on the look out for what God is trying to prepare you for or teach you. When you keep your eyes on God, you will remain steadfast and gain godly wisdom.
