Staying Even
John 14:27 New International Version
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Stay even and do not get anxious. A lot can be said about such a statement. I am always reminded at this time of year as we fight through the winter, to stay even. When we cannot get outside, or the snow and cold creates issues, our minds get anxious.
The enemy truly jumps all over anxiousness. That is why it is important for us to stay even and not allow anxious thoughts to overcome us. My dad states it like this, “Spring is on the horizon.” Allow Christs peace to be in your hearts. Like it says at the end of the verse today, ‘Do not be afraid’.
