Genesis 30:22-24 New International Version (NIV)
22 Then God remembered Rachel; he listened to her and enabled her to conceive.23 She became pregnant and gave birth to a son and said, “God has taken away my disgrace.” 24 She named him Joseph, and said, “May the Lord add to me another son.”
God answered Rachel’s prayer in his timing, and he gave her a child of her own. But, Rachel did something before waiting and trusting God to answer her prayer. She gave her servant to Jacob, so she could have a child through her. Trusting God when nothing seems to be happening is difficult, but it is harder still to live with the consequences of taking matters into your own hands. God has not forgotten you. Have patience and courage to wait for God to act. Be in prayer and listen. He will never leave your nor forsake you.
