John 4:20-23 New International Version (NIV)
20 Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.”
21 “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
Worship is attitude. It is an attitude of the body. Worship is the position of the body. Worship comes before service and is more important. Worship is like covering the face and the body and bowing low. It is bending the head. It not only means our body position, but it means the position of our spirit. What is the position of our spirit?
Dear Father, I know that true worshipers will worship in spirit and truth. Your name is Holy, Lord. It is a privilege to use your name, Father God. I want reverence for you, Lord. Guide me in reverence. I am in awe of you, Lord. I am in wonder of you, Lord. I want to honor you all the days of my life. Thank you. In Jesus’ Name I Pray, Amen.
