22 All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?” they asked.
Jesus knew he was the one fulfilling the promises of the Old Testament. Jesus knew who he was because he wrestled with God. This is not in a physical wrestling match like we see on television, but an inner wrestling. When we get alone with God, we can wrestle out who we are through him. Doing God’s will was central to who Jesus was. Our call is to live in truth and dependence on God. This always comes with wrestling with God in solitude. Take time to be alone with God and wrestle out who you are.
