Philippians 1:20 (NASB)according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.
It is that time of year again. i am preparing to head west. This year a friend and I drew an alpine mule deer tag. We have been waiting to draw this tag for 3 years now. So, to say the least, we’re pretty pumped. As we draw nearer to our departure, the preparation meets expectation. We have scoured our area on satellite and topo, talked with wildlife managers in that area and we are hoping for a successful hunt and expecting a great experience.
Though we don’t know what the outcome will be, we have expectations. We expect to work hard, give it our all, and make a good showing of it. We expect our efforts to be fruitful. Come what may, we expect to leave it all on the table and be proud of what we accomplish.
Is that how your day to day life looks. What are you expectations for your life? What path is God leading you down? What are you doing to exalt Christ in word and deed?
