Exodus 5:22-23 New International Version (NIV)
God Promises Deliverance
22 Moses returned to the Lord and said, “Why, Lord, why have you brought trouble on this people? Is this why you sent me? 23 Ever since I went to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble on this people, and you have not rescued your people at all.”
Pharaoh increased the workload. Moses protested. Was God going to rescue his people? Moses was expecting faster results, and he was thinking there would be fewer problems. When God is at work; suffering, setbacks, and hardships may still happen. Be encouraged. Problems will develop your patience and character. Problems develop our trust in God to do what is best. Look for ways to honor God in your present situation. Remember, God will never abandon you.
